It began appropriately, with an egg. Around 1500, Peter Henlein, a craftsman from Nuremberg, Germany, created the first watch by enclosing a timekeeping movement in a round portable case and adorning it with a dial and hours hand. These timepieces were dubbed "Nuremberg eggs". But it was not until World War I, that wristwatches were taken up by the general public.
Continuing the tradition, Zoughaib Time Carver wristwatch Legend was born. Modern Zoughaib watches, built by the most talented Swiss watchmakers, boast hand-engraved "guilloche" dials, exquisitely diamond and precious stones encrusted cases and of course the Zoughaib signature. |
